Hungarian Goulash Shopping List

1 tablespoon olive oil
20g butter
2 medium onions, sliced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 x 425g can tomatoes
1/2 beef stock
1 teaspoon salt
2 large red capsicums
1 kg diced casserole steak (or shin beef)
sour cream to serve

Hungarian Goulash Recipe

Heat oil and butter in a deep sided pan or wok.
Saute onion, garlic and capsicum until onion is just starting to brown.
Add Saucy Spice’s Hungarian Goulash spice blend and stir until fragrant – about 30 seconds.
Then add the beef and stir to coat.
Add all other ingredients and simmer covered with a lid on low heat for 1.5 hours to 2 hours or until beef is tender.
Serve with cooked rice, pasta or mashed potato and top with a dollop of sour cream.
