Spice Blend Ingredients

Coriander, Cumin, Turmeric, Mustard, Ginger, Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, Cloves and Chilli.

Fiery Beef Vindaloo Shopping List

1 kg casserole steak (or shin beef), cubed
6 cloves garlic, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons brown vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 cups of chicken stock

Fiery Beef Vindaloo Recipe

In a large bowl place beef, garlic, onions, oil, vinegar and sugar.
In a pan, dry fry Saucy Spice’s Fiery Beef Vindaloo spice blend for about 30 seconds. Then add to the beef mix and thoroughly mix to coat.
Cover the bowl with cling wrap and place in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
In a deep-sided pan or wok, heat some oil then add the beef mix. Stir to brown, then add chicken stock.
Cover the pan with a lid and gently simmer on low heat for 1.5 hours to 2 hours until meat is tender.
Simmer uncovered for the last 30 minutes if too watery.
Serve with plain cooked rice and cucumber raita.
