Spice Blend Ingredients

Cardamom, Cloves, Cinnamon, Coriander, Cumin, Chilli, Fenugreek, Ginger, Almond Meal and Paprika.

North Indian Beef Shopping List

1kg casserole steak, cubed
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chicken stock
1 small 270ml can coconut cream
300ml cream
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

North Indian Beef Recipe

Heat oil in a deep sided pan or wok and sauté onion until starting to brown.
Add Saucy Spice’s North Indian Beef spice blend and stir until fragrant- about 30 seconds.
Add salt, beef, chicken stock, coconut cream and cream. Put a lid on the pan and simmer gently for 30 minutes.
Add fenugreek leaf from second spice sachet. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer for a further 30 minutes.
Remove lid and gently bubble for a further 30 minutes or until meat is tender and sauce reduced. Remove cardamom pods before serving (there are 4).
Serve with plain cooked rice and a crisp green salad or cooked green vegetables.
