No Chilli Butter Chicken Shopping List

1kg chicken thigh fillets, cubed
100g real butter
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup chicken stock
1 400g can pureed tomatoes
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon salt
250ml plain yoghurt or fresh cream. (We recommend using light cream for the best flavour. If using yoghurt, use thick set Greek Style, it doesn’t curdle!)

No Chilli Butter Chicken Recipe

Heat butter in a wok or deep-sided pan.
Add onion and sauté until golden brown.
Add Saucy Spice’s No Chilli Butter Chicken spice sachet and stir until fragrant – about 30 seconds.
Add the chicken stock, pureed tomatoes, tomato paste, salt and cubed chicken thighs stirring everything together well.
Simmer on low heat covered with a lid for 30 minutes.
Remove lid and add Saucy Spice’s fenugreek leaf sachet and the cream/ yoghurt.
Simmer on low heat covered with a lid for 15 minutes.
Serve with rice or naan bread.
